Join our clinical research study evaluating whether a new medication called Finerenone can help patients with Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) after they've been hospitalized for worsening symptoms.
Answer a few simple questions to see if you qualify for the study.
Have you been diagnosed with Heart Failure by a doctor?
Your information is secure and will only be used to determine study eligibility.
Taking part in this study may provide you with an opportunity to:
Have in-depth, long-term monitoring of your health. This includes access to specialist medical tests that would not be part of standard care outside of a clinical study.
Gain in-depth understanding of your condition.
Be a partner in this quest to help improve understanding of Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF).
Potentially help other people with Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) in the future.
This study is testing an approved medication called Finerenone (already used for kidney disease in diabetes) to see if it can help patients with a specific type of heart failure called Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) after they've been hospitalized for worsening symptoms.
Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) is a condition where the heart muscle pumps normally (Ejection Fraction is 40% or higher), but the heart is stiff and doesn't relax properly to fill with blood. This causes fluid buildup and symptoms like shortness of breath. People recently hospitalized for worsening HFpEF (called Acute Decompensated Heart Failure or ADHF) are at high risk for future problems. This study is exploring if Finerenone can improve outcomes for these patients, as there's a need for better treatments in this group.
The study involves regular follow-up visits, typically starting with visits at Day 30, Month 3, Month 6, and then every 6 months. The total time depends on when the study reaches its goals, which could be several years, but you can stop participating at any time.
The study is being conducted at Access Research Institute, located at 11373 Cortez Blvd Building C, Suite 200, Brooksville, FL 34613.
